Access denied when attempting to edit and save nsclient 64 b

Post by mmcknig4 »

Hello,

I am attempting to edit the NSclient 64 bit on windows 2012. I have stopped the service but when I edit and attempt to save the file it says access denied.
I am trying to edit the allowed IP which the host IP. Any ideas why it is denying me access?

Are you trying to do this as a user that is an administrator? You could attempt to open your text editor as an administrator, and open the file from within there and I believe it should work.

I am the administrator and have full admin rights to the machine.

Did you try this step? I have seen this before, even logged in as an Administrator.

Also, you could just save the file to a different directory and drag it over.
