XI FAQ Sheet 'How To Do' common tasks

Post by brdr »

This week we introduced XI (2014R2.7) across a couple dozen IT application groups. Soon we will give them 'advanced' capabilities to do things like schedule host/service downtime, temporarily disable a check, acknowledge and host/service alert. Of course some users will be more advanced, others will not so much.

By chance is there available somewhere at XI FAQ, or like a top ten common things, that are done in XI by users that I could share with them. Do you have something like this?

Thanks!
Oh, great 2015 Conference! I really enjoyed the sessions/tracks.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but there's a pretty decent overview here.

Glad you enjoyed the conference! It was my first one, and I definitely had a blast.

Thanks but, I'm looking for more usable, but brief guide, on how to do simple things like acknowledge an alert; schedule downtime for host/service.

I am going to assume that this one is 'too much', but perhaps worth a glance regardless. Otherwise, we do have Webinars, but they may not be in the scope of what you are looking for. I don't think we have exactly what you are looking for, but I would be more than happy to make a suggestion to our marketing department, and see if we can get it in the works to make something 'basic' for newer users. I should also add that we have training/certification available, however this is not a free service.

Thanks.
