What version are you trying to install? I've seen reports that version 0.4.101 works on Windows Server 2003.

Hi,

The NS client ++ version is 0.3.9.327, please find the snapshot for version and more details.

The client was working fine it has stopped unexpectedly.

It looks like you're running 32 bit NSClient with a 64 bit OS. Try reinstalling the 64 bit version of NS Client (still 0.3.9) and that may fix it for you.

I have confirmed the OS and NS client ++ both are 32 bit.

Ah, didn't realize that enterprise version supported 16GB of ram. Prior to upgrading, can you confirm the two items below.

Navigate to start -> type 'services.msc' -> look for NSClient++ -> right click it, and select properties. What is the Path to executable?

Also, check C:\Program Files\NSClient++\nsclient.log and see if anything is generated in there. If so, please post the last 20 lines.

Kindly find the attached NSClient++ properties and NSClient log file data.

The executable file path is C:\Program Files\NSclient++\nsclient++.exe.

I can't be sure, but my googling leads me here:

Can you follow the steps in that blog entry to verify that your WMI repository is not corrupt?

This might be equally handy:
