Views (Rotate Views) Services sorting by default to HOST

Post by zaji_nms »

Dear Expert

As we using more nagiosXI features, the physical monitors (screens) fully occupied. Now we want some of Services which viewed on different screens (each on one screen), wan to be monitor on one screen (grouping them and viewing via Rotate Views). Our needed choice is to sort the Services on Duration but when Views get rotate, the Services coming back to sorted on Host (which we do not want at all), we want Services to be view by sorting of duration which very good when we monitoring on one screen (without using rotate view).

Desperately looking for the solution....the services which we selected and sorted on Duration, should not sort on Host when come on the screen on round robin manner.

Regards

How do you currently have this set up? Are you embedding a service group listing in the Views page? Or do you include a dashboard? A screenshot would help.

What version of XI are you using? You can grab it from the bottom left hand side of the web interface.

If I'm understand you properly, you go to Views > Service Details, then you sort by duration, and when your start rotation when it comes back around it is no longer sorted by duration?

I tried this in XI 2.7 and it's working properly for me (unless I'm misunderstanding you).

Thank you
