Admin , Manage Users , Config should not Apply

Post by zaji_nms »

Dear Expert

Our Notifications to customers is very good, however when adding their emails via ADMIN , MANAGE USERS , by default Nagios Applying the Config which irritates us as its time consuming, for one customer we adding three emails, three times Nagios will apply config......by default should not apply.

We found the same behavior in NagiosXI2012 when renaming the COMMANDS, TOOLS , RENAMING SERVICES however done good job by Nagios Developer Team and gave option in 2014R2.0 to Apply CONFIG or Not after the Renaming of Services ............The same way here should give option..........in 100% cases we do not want to APPLY CONFIGURATION after adding Email (adding user) from ADMIN , MANAGE USERS

Current we using 2014R2.0 , Please give option in next release minor version.....Check Box : Do Not Apply Config after adding the User

I have created a feature request for this, to add a check box to not apply configuration directly after adding a user. The task ID is 6940.

As the feature request has been added, it's now up to the developers. Do you mind if I close this thread now?

Thanks! rkennedy

you can go ahead to close the case, but how to follow-up if its get done or not , or when its done, how we know?

Yes, there is option to check new release time to time but some time new releases having to many changes , difficult to find/know that this feature get done or not?

Yes, feel free to ask us and we can check the internal system. Please give it a reasonable amount of time though as we do not dictate the developers schedule.

I'll look into seeing if we can have the feature request ID's tagged in the change log on release.

I will leave this thread open for now so that you can check back in time here, and get an update on your request.
