Red Hat 7 and kworker CPU

Post by SteveBeauchemin »

Is anyone else running Red Hat 7? If so, are you using the gearman?

I have noticed that kworker is using up to 100% CPU at times and am wondering if that is normal for RH 7.

I also notice that the Nagios XI download images are all still CentOS 6. Am I using RH 7 too soon? Should I get back on RH 6 until 7 is ready?

Please advise.

Thanks

I can address the second part of this question.

RHEL/Cent 7 are the latest stable OS versions, however we've had some issues with XI installs so we're sticking to 6 in our pre-built VMs for now. We still fully support 7, but 6 has been around longer and we have had more time to work with it so naturally it will be more stable.
