Hi Team,
We have a requirement to install Nagios client on ESXi host. Just want to confirm is it necessary to deploy VMware vSphere Management Assistant (vMA) on ESXi server. With out vMA can we install Nagios client on ESXi host. Please suggest.

The ESXi servers don't need anything installed on them.
My box293_check_vmware plugin uses a vMA appliance to offload the checks as the VMware SDK is pretty resource intensive.
