I keep meaning to report this but as I had to manually add hosts again just now, it surfaced again.
When you manually add a host you have to enter a mandatory field(s) in the check interval page otherwise it break the config when it is applied.
You should trap that a lot earlier in the host screen, this should not let you leave mandatory fields blank, it is highly annoying

Re: Mandatory fields when adding hosts
I can try to replicate this, which wizard are you attempting to use? Can you provide any screenshots for reference?

Re: Mandatory fields when adding hosts
As I stated before go into CCM, hosts and add a new host,(on the common settings tab) fill in name, ip address and a check if you want, then click save, apply the config, it will error, so you have to go back into the host and then select the check settings tab, I normally enter the same default that many wizards use of
Check interval
5
min
Retry interval
1
min
Max check attempts
5
One of those fields is actaully mandatory and has been forever but you never trap is until you apply the config which is just crazy, id you really want screen shots then e-mail me off this forum

Re: Mandatory fields when adding hosts
No, your instructions work. I needed clarification that you were referring to CCM and not a wizard. I was able to replicate this issue.
I'll speak to the developers about it and get back to you.

Re: Mandatory fields when adding hosts
This is a bug, and I have filed a report for it. The ID is 7167.
Do you mind if I close this thread out as a bug report has been filed, and this issue addressed?
