Check Always Says Pending - Even After It Runs

I have several hosts that all the service checks work fine, but the host check does not. It always shows "Pending", even when I force the check and it comes back as command processed successfully, it never changes from pending.

When I select ping this host it comes back showing the successful pings with no packet loss.

Any ideas??

It sounds like the host object does not have a check command associated with it.

Can you go into CCM > Monitoring > Hosts and click the floppy disk icon of the to get text config of the host.
Paste it here.
Also do the same for any templates this host object uses, as well as any templates the templates use.
