I recently uninstalled XI 5.2.3 then reinstalled on the same system (previous thread). After the reinstall I was in the process of offloading MySQL per the documentation (as I had done previously) only this time I discovered that there appears to be a 'nagiosxi' database within MySQL as well, which was not there for the last installation (the last installation was not a fresh 5.2.3 install; rather an upgrade from a 4.x install). It seems that PostgreSQL was not configured by the latest installation nor is it running on this system, although everything within XI has been working fine as far as I can tell.
Has everything now been migrated to MySQL and PostgreSQL is deprecated or did something go wrong with my reinstall that I should be concerned about? Thanks.
PostgreSQL not being used?
Re: PostgreSQL not being used?
We no longer use Postgres as of XI 5 - everything is now in MySQL exclusively. Only a system that has been upgraded from a 2014 version will have Postgres installed, so I believe your system should be properly installed.

Re: PostgreSQL not being used?
Fresh installs do not use postgresql any longer, however upgrades at this time are still using postgresql.

Has this answered your question? Can I close this thread out now?
