install error Error: Package: nagiosxi-deps-5.2.3-1.noarch

I am running :
[root@sc-nagiosxi nagiosxi]# cat /etc/redhat-release; uname -r
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.7 (Santiago)
2.6.32-573.12.1.el6.x86_64

The sc-nagiosxi host is register with satellite for all the updates. The rhel-6-server-optional-rpms already been added to channel.

Are you able to manually install any of the required dependencies? What happens if you run yum install gd-devel? Also, was this system used for anything before XI? Leftover packages from previous software can cause issues.

I was able to get resolve the issue. It was actually related to satellite system but now I am getting the following error. should I try "--skip-broken" option at this point?

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem

Could you please let me know how suddenly issue got resolved, since i am facing the same issue when i am installing the nagios XI in redhat linux 6.5?

@ Muthulinux, can you please open a new thread describing your issue? This issue can be different across different machines. Please include the output of the installation failing in your new post, along with the output of a yum repolist command.

now i have installed the nagios XI by using offline method but i dont know the password of nagiosadmin to login into the web interface.

So i have changed the password by using below command

# htpasswd -c /usr/local/nagios/etc/htpasswd.users nagiosadmin

i got an output in the command line like below. even after that also i could not login into web interface getting username or password invalid.

New password:
Re-type new password:
Adding password for user nagiosadmin
[root@localhost conf.d]#

I'll be closing this thread out now, as it's resolved by the OP.

Please open a new thread for your issue, and we will address it. You should have seen an xi setup page though where you set the password for nagiosadmin. The command you mentioned, is to change the nagiosadmin password on core, not XI.
