Hello,
We try to compile check_logfiles (Consol Labs) for Windows, but with great difficulty.
Does someone has a check_logfiles.exe >V3.7 for windows 32 and/or 64b ?
we have a fairly urgent need for this plugin
Thanks

Re: Check_logfiles on windows
Did you get this from their website? If so, that's where you should start checking for help. We can't troubleshoot something we didn't write, unfortunately.jbeaujour wrote:We try to compile check_logfiles (Consol Labs) for Windows, but with great difficulty.
These are general forums, anyone can post here. It goes without saying that accepting binary files from someone on an open forum is risky.jbeaujour wrote:Does someone has a check_logfiles.exe >V3.7 for windows 32 and/or 64b ?
Have you tried NSClient for this, if you're unable to get the other plugin to work? Check out this awesome guide: https://outsideit.net/real-time-eventlog-monitoring/jbeaujour wrote:we have a fairly urgent need for this plugin

Re: Check_logfiles on windows
Hello,
There is no support forum for this product, and and I've already seen some posts here.
We don't want to use eventlog but a check_nrpe from NAGIOS who call an external script with different config files for each search.
It is impossible to use the perl version of check_logfiles for our usage.
We stiil have have the need
Thank for your response
Have a good day

I wish I had a better answer, but since we didn't write the software, we cannot provide support for compiling it.jbeaujour wrote:There is no support forum for this product, and and I've already seen some posts here.
Have you looked into Nagios Log Server? This product could meet a lot of your needs.jbeaujour wrote:We don't want to use eventlog but a check_nrpe from NAGIOS who call an external script with different config files for each search.
Could you try to email the developer directly, if you're looking for support for the plugin??jbeaujour wrote:It is impossible to use the perl version of check_logfiles for our usage.
I'm trying to provide alternatives, since we're unable to support the compiling process of check_logfiles.jbeaujour wrote:We stiil have have the need

Thanks for the reply, but this is a pretty old thread. Going to lock it.
