How to monitor several services with the same name ?

Post by pouda »

Hi all,

Before to buy 4 unilimited lisenses plus 1 fusion ... i would like to know if it's possible to monitor several services with the same name on the same Windows servers ... see my screenshot below to understand ...

Would it suffice to have a count of the number of processes by that name? If you're using NSClient++, this looks like it would do the trick.

This document will show you how to install the NSClient++ agent on a Windows machine:

It may be also helpful to review this document, which describes how to configure NRPE Listener in NSClient++ for Nagios XI on a Windows client system:

It looks like there are some community plugins that might do this:

http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Pl ... v2/details
http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Pl ... es/details

http://exchange.nagios.org/index.php?op ... 0processes

We haven't documented or tested any of these plugins, so you might have to do some testing and see if any of these meet your needs.
