Nconf - Set SNMP Community String/Version

Post by 00_kl250 »

Hey All,

I'm trying to find a way to set the SNMP version and community on a host template in NCONF and I don't see it. I figured this would be pretty easy to do but i'm not seeing any fields for this. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, nconf is not our product, and we're unable to provide support for it. I can leave this topic open in case anyone else has any feedback to add, but we're unable to provide support for it is we didn't make it. It looks like it hasn't been updated for quite awhile either. There are some contact details for the author here. You may be able to get a hold of them and ask directly.

Thanks.

I figured as much but thought I'd try and see if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks again.

UPDATE:

I tried to manually edit the hosts file and add the _SNMPVERSION and _SNMPCOMMUNITY string fields but when I run nconf it overwrites the file and takes away my edits.

This indeed sounds like an issue with nconf, as it's managing your config files and overwriting your flat files with the database information.

Are we good to close this thread, or did you have any questions Nagios related?
