I have a question regarding whether Nagios can back-up configurations from hosts such as a Cisco switch? If so what would I need to edit within the Nagios Core server. I understand I can configure a Cisco switch to back-up its own configurations to a tftp, but I was wondering is Nagios capable of this service as well?
Thanks

Re: Backup Host Configurations ???
Nagios is used for monitoring primarily, and while backup management is not its typical usage, there are ways this can be done. Specifically, you would write an Event Handler to log in to the router and run the appropriate commands to back up the configs. More information about event handlers below:
