Hi ,
access to NLS is protected by username and password. Is it possible to connect directly to the Elasticsearch DB somehow, without any authentication? Is it protected and how?

What exactly are you trying to do? You just want to query information from the elasticsearch DB?

I just want to be sure that nobody without a user account in NLS can access differently the DB. For example is it possible to access the DB from the CLI of the server where NLS is installed as root?

You can access the database from the command line of the NLS server. You can access it from a different machine assuming you have an API key.
