scheduling downtime

Post by doneil326 »

is there a way in 5.2.2 via the gui to schedule downtime for a host and all of its services at once? it appears the cmd.cgi has these options cmd_type 55 and 86 and this seems to be an integral feature of utilizing the product so i was wondering if i am missing something in the scheduled downtime area?

Not currently, you will need to schedule for the host and then schedule all the services for the host. I've created a feature request for this with a link back to this thread:

Code: Select all

NEW TASK ID 8430 created - Nagios XI Feature Request: Add the ability to schedule downtime for host and all services in one go

Awesome. Thanks for the response. If this is a feature request, then i would also recommend the ability to schedule downtime for all hosts/services in a host group as well. This would be great for mass patching/updates to systems that could impact all or a specific service.

Your second request is actually possible already, but it uses the core interface.

From the XI Home page, click Hostgroup Summary -> click the 'terminal' icon next to the host group -> You'll see two options, one for schedule downtime for all hosts in this hostgroup, and the other for all services in this hostgroup.

Is that what you were looking for?
