Orphaned Host Checks

Post by jpelley »

using regional gearman workers and have been running pretty stable for a couple months now, as of today and for no apparent reason we are getting orphaned host checks. Gearman_top looks clean, no disk space issues, have restarted nagios, (have seen examples in the past of multiple nagios PIDs conflicting with each other and have a process to clean that up which we have), have even rebooted the server - issue still persists.

Thanks for the update and glad to hear you're up and running again. FYI, if this occurs again, check if multiple Nagios processes are running and if so, shut 'em down:

Code: Select all

service nagios stop

killall -9 nagios

service nagios start
