ftp backups stopped working

It seems last week our ftp backups stopped working, plus minus around the day after I upgraded to 5.2.7. The backups were still created in /store/backups/nagiosxi but not ftp'd to the home directory of the ftp user defined in scheduled ftp backups. This behaviour resulted in the root disk of my XI production server filling up very fast. It seems the folders in /store/backups/nagiosxi are not zipped / tarred.

Tests of the ftp backup settings with 'test connection' and 'test user' are all succesfully.

Secondary issue came up during troubleshooting => While troubleshooting the issue I enabled local backup and tried backing up to a mounted nfs share. While testing the permissions, my browser hung and I had to manually restart the httpd service on the XI server to be able to continue working.

Tertiary issue I noticed. When trying to choose 10:00 as local backup time, the minutes dropdownbox keeps getting reset to 59...

Please let me know what I can do to make the sftp backups work again.

We were just discussing this a few minutes ago, and @lmiltchev will be testing it internally. We've had some other reports of odd behavior in scheduled backups, so it's possibly a bug. Will keep you posted.

Willem, I, Ian, and Matt tested scheduled ftp backups in 5.2.7 & 5.2.8, and didn't find any issues. Can you post the "/usr/local/nagiosxi/var/components/scheduledbackups.log"?

The backup has to create the local file first and then copy it to the remote server and is looks like the local backup isn't working.
Can you delete the folders in the /store/backups/nagiosxi folder and try and run a local backup manually so see if there are any errors generated?
Run the following to create the local backup.

I replaced the different hosts with 'server'. How is the password provided to the backup Basch script?

The script retrieves the mysql password from the config files on the XI server but the issue is that the MYSQL database needs to be repaired.
To repair the MYSQL database, login as root and run the following.

After this, try running the backup again.

If the MYSQL database if offloaded to a remote server, you can run this to repair it.

Change the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to the IP address of the server and the username and password if they are not default.
