Graph mismatch in nagios

Post by Naveed »

Hello,

I had seen graph difference of same host and same service,

Can some let me know the difference?

1-Graph one from Time Stacked performance graph

2-Multistacked performance graph

I have noticed that in graph 1 my CPU touches to 100 for which I got emails back to 3 months, but in other graph I can see the graph usage is touches to 80.

Its quite confusing for me?

Need your expertise please.

Thank you!

The performance graph data are stored in Round Robin Databases and they are fixed size. So to keep the data stored in them for a long period of time, the data has to be averaged out which is what you are seeing.
Take a look at this video if you want more details about this.
