Nagios - Reassign Parent to child hosts

Hi All,

I am facing a situation in parent /child relationship with nagios. I have a parent host which have 100 child hosts. Now I need to delete that parent and re-assign all the child hosts to the different parent . Is there a way to do it globally or I need to make changes on individual child host to repoint to different parent?

Second option will be really time-consuming as there are 100s of host.

Could someone shed some light on this issue please.
