I have a question about integrating users.
heres the example.
user benhank was created in nagios via /admin/manage users and had a contact created for him.
When trying to add user benhank via AD, I get an error stating that the user already exists.
My question is if I delete benhanks Nagios login account, but not his contact and then re-addhim thru AD, will the account associate itself with his contact?
I ask this because we have a ton of locally created Nagios accounts with associated contacts and contact groups. We want them all to be able to login with their network accounts, but dont want to have to recreate all of the contact groups and such.
thanks guys!

Re: question about ad integration
As long as the username and contact name remain the same, they will still be linked. If either changes, that link is broken.
Update: Might have spoken too soon. When you delete a user, the contact seems to be deleted as well. I am not 100% certain this is intended, but that appears to be what happens. Lemme check with the devs on this.
Update 2: For now, add "2" or something to the contact name before you delete and re-add the contact. So in your case you would have benhank2 and then benhank would be created, so you would need to then delete benhank and change benhank2 back. Going to see if we can make it optional to delete the contact. Ignore that, I wasn't thinking straight. There is no need to delete the account and re-add it. You should be able to switch between local and AD. What XI version are you on?
