NagiosXI Re-installation.

Post by jladd »

Centos 5.5(old) Centos 6(new)
64bit
Manual Install
Software raid.(new)
---------------------

Ok so first off my issue I am asking about is a license activation issue but I would like to explain everything up to this point.

First off I was running version r1.6 and updated to version r1.8 everything worked fine and was good. I came into work the next day and my nagiosxi server had restarted and was hanging giving me an error about "kernel panic - not syncing - attempted to kill init" I narrowed this down to an issue with the software raid in centos when I first set this server up I had it set as 2 separate drives not in a software raid and some kind of an update re-enabled dmraid and put both drives into a volume group.

So I decided to just start over and this time around I'm using both drives in a raid-1 software enabled in the bios and with dmraid much easier to accomplish what I want to begin with =). So anyway my real question here is after re-installing nagios xi and entering my license key it Want's me to Activate my license key. I cannot activate it at the moment because we have not renewed our service contract yet. Is there a way to get the activation banner to go away or properly activate it again before we renew our service contract? There were also a number of wizards and plugins that I had downloaded and installed that I no longer have access too from nagios exchange will I have to renew first to get those back as well?
