Monitoring PaaS solution with Nagios
We are looking to build a PaaS solution in the near future and I'm looking to see if there are any Nagios tools or integrations in the works to monitor containers or more specifically the Services that the containers provide. We are currently looking at OpenShift which leverages Docker and Kubernetes.

Nagios really won't differentiate the the difference between a container, a VM, or a physical machine. It really comes down to what service you're looking to monitor on the machine.
From a host level though, there are quite a few plugins that are beginning to surface which would let you monitor at that layer. Take a look at https://exchange.nagios.org to see if anything is what you're looking for.
