Hello,
While rewriting some service escalation into XI from core 3 I noticed that through CCM when defining a service escalation there is no option to add a Service Group.
We previously had at times used service groups for our escalations instead of just services. Is there a way to do this through the CCM, or must they be done through Static Configurations?
Service Escalations
Re: Service Escalations
I don't think adding the service group on the escalations is valid, if you look through the object definitions it doesn't even list it as an option:

When I manually add it, it fails verification.

Re: Service Escalations
Hmm, ok. Is this new to core 4? We have this in Core 3 and it works fine.

Re: Service Escalations
The documentation for Core 3 appears to be the same:

I do know that Core 3.x was not as strict with the verification of configs, we often see issues when people upgrade from XI 2012 (uses core 3.x) and the verify fails on the same configs that worked previously. It always relates to an invalid configuration that 3.x did not correctly detect.

Re: Service Escalations
OK, well dang. Escalation by service group is really best for us. Looks like we will have to figure something else out.
