VMWare IP by DHCP recognition

Post by barrosa »

Hi All,
I'm trying to install Nagios xi virtual machine for Windows. I've followed the indicated steps in the official site:
1- Install VMWare
2-Download nagios virtual machine OVA file locally
3-Import and play OVA file with VMware
4- The automatic process doesn't recognize the IP address of the machine.

Please see bellow.

Am I doing something wrong? Is another thing that I have to install for this to work?

Looks like the VM might not be assigned to the correct network. What do you have for network settings for that guest in VMWare Workstation?

tmsdonald,
Thanks for your suggestion. It was configured as bridged. I changed it to host only and now it's working.

Thanks!
