So I just wrote a nice complex script to run as event handler. However, it needs specific data depending on the service that is in a bad state.
It needs $HOSTNAME$, $SERVICEDESC$, $HOSTADDRESS$, $ARG8$
I am able to pass $ARG8$ to event handler, right?

Haven't heard back from you Bandit but assuming it's OK to lock this thread now so I'll go ahead and do just that. The doc you found is what most of us would have suggested anyway.
