Hi Guys,
I've created a VPS on a remote server and want to monitor the traffic, i only have a set amount of traffic and i don't want to go over it. Can nagios monitor this for me and send me an email?

There are a number of ways to do this. You can find some of the plugins at https://exchange.nagios.com/directory/P ... -Bandwidth
If you tell us a bit more about your setup, we can help point you in a more specific direction. For example, do you have any access to network equipment or are you just wanting to monitor bandwidth on the server? What OS does the VPS run? Are there any networking limitations on the VPS?
Thanks!

Re: Traffic Moniting?
Hey, thanks for getting back to me.
The VPS is actually sitting on my own Xenserver in a datacentre. I just want to be able to monitor the total bandwidth it has used within a month period, i pay per TB in the datacentre and want to play it say. The datacentre gave me access to cachi to monitor it, but that means i have to watch it.
I'll prefer it if nagios could do it for me.

Well, https://exchange.nagios.com/directory/P ... ds/details might be the best option since it sounds like you might have some Cacti experience in the organization. Of course, that plugin has not been tested against 4.x, but the maintainer's email is right there if you run into problems.
I'm assuming Linux since Xen, so you might find https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/P ... 1474306548 useful. Please let us know if something other than Linux, or if that plugin does not work for you for some reason.
