Hi All,
I need to disable the notifications for all my checks for all the users since I finish some task on my NagiosXI.
Which would be the best way to do it?
I was thinking on:
1) Disable notifications for all users as explained here:
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf
-- Contact Notification preferences
|-- Un check email notifications
2) Otherwise I thought that if it is possible I could also disable them from 'bulk modifications' and do it for all my hosts/services on Nagios XI
Any recommendation will be great for me.
Thanks in advance,
Disable Notifications

Re: Disable Notifications
Definitely go with your first instinct "-- Contact Notification preferences --|-- Un check email notifications--"
This will be far easier to manage than disabling on all the hosts + services directly.
If you have admin privileges then you don't have to masquerade as a user to make this change. Simply go about it as seen here:

Hi bwallace - I see what you are saying. However, I though that this configuration needed to be done from the 'contact' (ccm-> contacts-> alerts settings -> service/hosts nortifications off) because I have a similar situation in the past and the users didn't exist just the contact.
Please let me know if I am being clear with this.

Re: Disable Notifications
I believe that method of disable notifications only applies to the XI notification handlers, other stuff falls through to notify-*-by-email is still going to use the contact email.

Re: Disable Notifications
I was unaware you were talking about a 'contact only' and in that case yes you are correct. Disable under CCM > Contacts <contact name> Alert Settings >
Host/ Service Notifications Enabled = off
Host/ Service Notifications Enabled = off
