Hey Guys,
im trying to make the Upgrade to latest Version of NagiosXI (Ver.5.4.2) manually because i cannopt connect to the Internet.
Having downloaded the latest .tar.gz and followed the instruction for manual Upgrade I actually gaze at the Putty seeing that the Upgrade script is trying to connect to each and every Server and URL there is in this Universe...
Is there a paket i missed which is made for absolutely-offline upgrading with definitely no internet connection??

Re: Upgrading Offline
Did you initially install with an offline version? The reason I ask, is if you went the source install or OVA install first, and tried to upgrade from there - it will not work.
With that said, the offline upgrade shouldn't be trying to connect to anything online. You will still need local repositories mounted to the machine and hosted locally.
Can you show us a log of what you're seeing exactly?

Re: Upgrading Offline
Hm, i might have been lost in translation. What i did try is actually updating (not upgrading) the Nagios XI appliance.
Sorry but i can't give you the details of what i saw, cause I hit the init-6-Hammer after i waited for 3/4 hour with no effect but the search for another mirror on another Server.
Might it be possible to provide an update pakage for offline installation(only!) with all necessary Data in it?

Re: Upgrading Offline
As long as you start with a fresh, minimal machine, that has access to the RHEL packages required you should be good to go. We aren't able to include these.

The packages I'm mentioning, are towards the bottom. You should be able to use a disk as well IIRC.

Re: Upgrading Offline
Thank you for your information.
I succesfully bargained for some special permissions to connect to a proxy for updating reasons and made the install.
This matter should be settled.
