Nagios doesn't seem to know about systemd

Post by apelliccio »

So I have an Oracle Linux 7.3 (RHEL 7.3) server - and I've got nrpe 2.15 plugins on it. And it turns out that it keeps calling init scripts that don't exist on a a systemd system. And OL7.3 is systemd.

Looking around I see lots of python wrappers but wonder if Nagios itself supports the product under systemd?

Nagios does have support for systemd. Where/what are you looking at that you see calls to init scripts? Do things appear to be function despite these calls? I wonder if it may be calling init scripts first before systemctl equivalents.
