upgrade failure

I think I have a similar issue to https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... 23#p198078

I used the web interface to upgrade from 5.2.7 to latest
Got errors on a host and a service config.

I used the web interface to fix these (a blank contact group and a missing max tries)
Checked config - it said everything was good.
Used 'Write Config Files' to write out files then verified them.

Tried to run the update via the web interface again and it stopped at " Duplicate column name api_key'"

I'm guessing it's the same issue as in the link - where the db has already upgraded but I dont' know where / what to comment out.

I rolled back to the snap I took before the upgrade, fixed those 2 cfg's, wrote out/verified ... then ran the update.
Succeeded and everything seems fine.
