If a host goes down not i am receiving multiple unknown and service critical alert.
Can you suggest how can i get only single alert in case of host down.
Secondly is it possible to set the blackout window for the node so that we can reduce the alert counts in case we have planed outage window.
Am using nagiosXI 5.2.9
Attached is the SS for reference.

Re: Receiving Multiple alert once host is down
There is an option you can set in the nagios.cfg file for when the Nagios process detects that a Host is down, it will stop checking and sending the notifications for the services of that host.
Take a look at this KB article to see if this is something you want to implement on your server.

If you have a planed outage for a host or service and you want to not receive the email notifications, that is called downtime in Nagios, the following KB article describes how to set that up in XI.
