Global Event Handlers and Time Periods

Post by vAJ »

Question on the use of Time Periods and Global Event Handlers.

I want to suppress events being send to the GEH for hosts and services for specific time periods. Do they abide by the notification time periods in XI or do I need to simply set the devices to only be checked during my valid time periods?

Documentation seems to cover everything else, but this.

Thanks,
AJ

They don't adhere to the notification time periods because they are not a notification (meaning it's not even to the notification point yet), they are run during every check so you are correct in your assumption that you would need to use the check_period to limit them.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you
