Import Failure

Post by iismao42 »

Hi All,

Having an issue converting my Nagios configs to NagiosXI. I'm running the config in production in nagios and have no issues with it. However, when copying it over to NagiosXI and applying the changes after running the import, I keep getting errors which aren't present on my current nagios server. Attached is a picture of the errors if anyone has some thoughts..

Could you explain in more detail what you are doing? Here is our documentation for migrating from Core to XI: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios_XI.pdf

It is difficult to give you any advice on how to fix these issues because:

1. We don't have your configuration files
2. We can't even see the names on the screenshot you provided.

You could try troubleshooting (one error at the time) by going to the CCM, fixing the issue, and running the "Config File Management" tool (CCM > Tools > Config File Management > Write Configs > Verify Files) to make sure the problem has been fixed. Don't apply configuration unless ALL of the config errors are fixed!

BTW, did you import your configuration files from Nagios Core in the correct order?

Code: Select all

Commands > Time Periods > Contact Templates > Contacts > Contact Groups > Host Templates > Hosts > Host Groups > Service Templates > Services > Service Groups
