Monitoring Total Bandwidth Utilization

Hi,

I've been searching all-over the place for a simple plugin that will output total bandwidth utilization on Linux.
The closest thing I found was this one:

But this monitors both TX and RX speed individually.

Before I write some string manipulation for it to get what I need,
is there anything that does this out of the box?

I suspect that if you weren't able to find something that meets your needs, then it's not out there.

This says it will do usage: https://exchange.nagios.org//directory/ ... sh/details -- I'm not sure what units you want though.
