NagiosXI: Preserve Data/Graphs from a deactivated host

Hi,

The situation is we want to be able to deactivate a host from checks, but be able to continue to view the data / graphs.

The host in question is a member of a host group, and 4 Sevices.

Is there a way to achieve this, or best practice method to achieve this ?

Hi glenbanyard,

You can edit the host definition and change the check command to "check_dummy" and then if you want to start collecting data again you can just switch it back to the original check.
