Nagios 4.2.1 - and service_description limit length

Is there a limit in the number of characters that I can use in service_description definition ?

I can look into this. The service_description directive is meant to be a brief unique description of the service check. How long of a string do you want to be able to use? Are you getting an error?

No I didn't get an error .
I'm planning to create a script to automate service check creation starting to a file created fron another office
The office manager has asked me if is there a limit for the field service_description

... so I need this info

The character limit for the service_description is 255
