feature request: add customizable tables to various pages

Post by tacolover101 »

instead of having to look at the same 'service status page', or 'host detail page' table column fields - substitute this out for an array of all the possible field variables that could be listed here. (hostname, ipaddr, attempts, status, duration, $ARG1$, _host_customvar, _service_customvar, etc.)

i also propose this array be used to control custom reports, and anything else you may think suitable. instead of having one off requests for this type of stuff, everything could be customized. i believe this would be a bit of a rewrite, but it would open XI up quite a lot, and also mitigating one off requests for different customers.

just my two tacos.

I actually believe this is in the process of being created. It is a large undertaking, but in these tables there are actually hooks where you can add additional columns.

You can see the Custom Column Component to see how it can be done
