Ping is not enabled on Nagios Server and Remote Hosts , but service is running OK . How can i stop getting ping alerts as host is down and enable check_tcp -p 80 .

Tried Check_tcp -p 80 , but it brings the host UP in dashboard only for sometime then again it does down with ping alert.

Are you changing the command for the host, or for the services?

Could you share the host/service configuration file for the services with the problems along with the commands configured for these?
