Installation failed: cant connect to DB server

hey, good day!! I tried istalling nagios xi to a server, But I started having trouble when i typed:

./2-prereqs

It suddenly paused somewhere during the process, it took like around 30 minutes so i decided to stop it and move on with the next steps of installation..

when im done and tried to access the nagios web interface it displayed that it cant connect to a DB server..

why?? any help will be much appreciated..

Please provide more information, like what OS you are using. I'd guess this is a 64bit server? It'll work better with a 32bit install.

im using a RHEL 5 OS.. I'm done with installing every thing the installation required like the postgresql., mysql, etc..

but I always get an error whenever I run the importnagiosql command., it says no such file found., too many errors...

By any chance did you happen to write down the last output before it stalled? That might help us figure out what it may not have gotten to yet, and hopefully start diagnosing why.
