Nagios Config Not Applied

Post by matson-itops »

1. yesterday I tried to add 2 hosts and ran into errors. See "Capture2"
Capture2.PNG
Logs Errors

eg. "host can not be a child/parent of itself"

I logically figured I needed to delete the node and readd
however this morning, the nodes were just magically there.

2. tried to verify host as added properly under CCM Core Config manager and saw more errors. See "Capture"

CCM Core Config Manager Error

eg quite a few servers with "not applied" status

can we safely remove and just readd the machines?
See the attached screen shots (redacted)

What's the output of ipcs -q? I didn't see anything of particular interest in your profile. I will note though that if you upgrade to 5.4.4 or later, the profiles will be more useful.

That makes it look like ndo2db isn't running, but I believe I did see a ticket about issue. Did you want to lock this up and work through the ticket?
