Notices & Recurring downtime not working

Post by rajibkumardas »

Hi,
I am exploring the rich features of Nagios XI recently. All seems working perfect unless two 404 (page not found error) error page.
For recurring downtime scheduling when I click on "Add schedule" it appears as bellow;

The requested URL /nagiosxi/includes/components/xicore//nagiosxi/includes/components/xicore/recurringdowntime.php was not found on this server.

And for Status checking page I am getting the bellow message everytime;

The requested URL /nagiosxi//includes/components/xicore/status.php was not found on this server.

What can be problem it is. Is it a bug or something wrong with my installation?

Regards,

Rajib

Rajib,

To help resolve this, we will need a little more information.

What version of Nagios XI are you using?
Linux Distribution and version?
32 or 64bit?
VMware Image or Manual Install of XI?
Are there specials configurations on your system, ie; is Gnome installed? Are you using a proxy? Are you using SSL?

I have tried installing VMware Virtual Machine running on Cent OS 6, but the result is same with two other problems. Can anyone tell me what could be the problem?

After some testing, I can confirm this is a bug, I will be filing a bug report, however it may be related to http://tracker.nagios.com/view.php?id=208

This item is a known bug and will be fixed in the next release or there are instructions on the bur report page on how to fix this without waiting for the next release..

Many thanks Scott. I was thinking the same as it could be a possible bug within the new release. Hope this will be resolved very soon.
I will give a try to fix the status.php thing as per your direction.
I was actually planning to subscribe a license for the latest release which leads me to give it a try. I am not sure this forum is the right place or not to ask this, just wondering is there any option (addons/plugins/?) to have scheduled reporting jobs like SLA (Network availability report)?

There are Availability reports built in and you can set a report for any particular host and service over the time period you want and get all the details.
Reports -> Availability

Additionally, once you have a report set the way you like, you can click the star to add it to your "My Reports" for future reference. Also, there is CSV or PDF download of the reports.

I have seen that feature but wondering is the report engine capable to send automatic availability report everyday to the specific mail boxes!

This isn't available now, however in development (available in 2012) is scheduled reporting which will allow you to configure a report and have in mailed at specified intervals.
