unable to make nagios work

Good day,
will try to be short. first of all i would like to know what you will need to see from my side that i should send to you in order to assist me.

am on the trial version of nagios xi and need to make this work,
first i have managed few months ago to instal nsclient on one of our server and it's working and still do,
after that i did the same for another of our server but this one is a cloud machine, it's did give me quiet a lot of trouble but with help of customer service we managed to get it sorted and then it gave us trouble again for quiet a while, than i realized that on the Log file as error there was an Ip ADDRESS that was rejected, i personaly tried to trace it i have been able to. (am not an expert) however, when adding that IP to the INI files everything was working. and after that start having some unknown status again i checked again and there was another ip address. so am not sure where those ip addresss comes from maybe because it's a cloud server its has some hidden IP that changing and now i knew where to go whenever this issue occur. just go to the log files, pick up that Ip and add it in the INI files. and my Pc as well do change some time the wireless ip address so when it's happen i just update the ini file and everything is sorted.


it's been a while since i use it so i have asked for and etension of trial version to go through this again and finaly decide if we can buy the product. i have tried all of the above only the physical server here is working but the cloud one that was added months ago is giveing me some unknown services. i have installed nsclient on another cloud server as well and added the host on my nagios, but again or even worce it's just red, critical, cannot even been pinged.

could you please assist. just advice what do you neeed to see, the Ini files, and any other thing else, pictures of what and then please assist me. or if some other infos should e sent PM

If the IP address of your cloud server keeps changing, then you may want to use DNS entries in your Nagios host configuration instead of IP addresses. Presumably, your cloud server will have a way of being contacted with a permanent DNS name that points to the current IP address. If not, then you will want to look at Passive checks for Nagios and have the remote cloud server send things to Nagios rather than have Nagios query the remote server directly.
