Nagios xi v 5.4.11
We monitor a number of Clients distributed hosts and services using NRDS for our clients. One of the issues we currently have is restricting read-only access for hosts and services associated with each client via contact groups and hostgroups/sevicegroup.
EXAMPLE:
contactgroup 1 needs accesss to all of the hosts in hostgroups in A,B,C
contactgroup 2 only needs access to hosts B
contactgroup 3 only needs access to hosts C
Contact groups 2 and 3 should not see any other hostgroups hosts.
everytime i try to isolate the hosts contact group A shows and the others then have access to all of the hosts..
any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated

As long as the contact group is not assigned to the same hosts as the other contact groups. It should work just fine.
Do you have the contact groups assigned to hosts or host groups already?
Also were those users in the contact_group created as a "monitoring contact" --> It's a check mark box that is specified when you create a user in Admin --> manager users --> create user
Could I see how its set up? I would need your profile so I could look to see who is assigned to what hosts.
On the XI Home Page click "Admin" > "System Profile" --> "Download Profile" button
Save the profile.zip file and upload it here or PM me.
