Change Notification Settings from Database

Post by Princey »

Hi,

I have recently inherited a NagiosXI system from a colleague who recently left. The system has been working fine for quite some time now. However, I have noticed that the notification settings for every asset (1500+) are configured to send emails to a specific contact, as opposed to a contact-group.

Im wondering if there is a quick way of modifying this in the Databse to save time. I would like to expand on the existing configuration (of a single contact) and have an additional contact-group assigned to the notification settings for all assets.

Thanks for your help! ;)

You could probably just add the contact group to the host template "xiwizard_generic_host", which should make it so that all hosts have that contact group by default. Any contact groups defined in the individual hosts would override the template.
