not able to poll the linux node getting time out.
what i can check in such case? how can i check if we can use polling based checks for the node.
Getting Unknown for all plugin based checks

To tell is a check is an Active check (Polling) or a passive check (Non-Polling) you can go to the Home > Service Details screen and id you see an Icon with 4 Green arrows pointing to themselves, that is a passive check.
Those Icons will show up on a Active Check as well if the Active Check was disabled for that host or service.
We would need to get more details from you so are all of the checks on the server showing the same status or just a certain host?
Are the Ping checks working for the the same host?
Can you post a screen shot showing the error so we can view them?
