Reporting - Monthly average for metrics

Can anyone advise how we might can get the average CPU/Memory/Disk utilization for a hostgroup for a custom period (normally the previous month). We are migrating from another monitoring system and it can generate reports like the one attached. I have played with reports but cannot find a method in XI.

We are using XI 5.4.0 and check_nrpe agent checks.

So for example - for all the hosts in a specific hostgroup (say prod-databases) - we would like a report that calculates the average CPU usage over a specified period. This allows us to see if servers have enough resources.

My gut feeling is that information is only stored in the RRD files - not the Nagios DBs. Does anyone have experience in extracting that kind of info via the GUI rather than hacking the RRDs files.
