New Application Information

Hello Team,

On our production instance of Nagios XI replication team is trying to install another application which will automatically update the new certificate on the target servers which have expired. This is not a monitoring application. It will be used only for certificate renewal process. There will be a separate mount point for this application will not touch any of our partitions.
Our query is that installing the application on the same server will not create any issues on Nagios XI?

There is always a chance that additional software could interfere with the operation of XI, so our official stance is that you are free to do so but any damage caused as a result is out of scope of our support. Our recommendation is to take proper backups, and to test the installation on your backup XI server before doing so on the production server.

Do note however that this is only a backup of the application, not the whole server. If your Nagios XI server is virtualized, you should take a snapshot or full VM backup.
