How to change host name

I want to change the name of 1 device which we are monitoring in Nagios XI. But now i want to change the host name of that device. As far i know changing host name / IP will erase historical data of that device (and services too). Is it possible to change the host name without deleting the historical data...? (If it is through GUI will help me even better)

You could rename hosts and services via the Bulk Renaming Tool, which would allow you to retain historical performance and alert data. To access the tool, go to Configure > Core Config Manager > Tools > Bulk Renaming Tool.
